Einstein Volleyball. Shot inside the main gym, not too hard of a semi-complex shot. We had all the interior lights turned off in the gym. The only thing that was on was the score board, helping to give a slight otherworldly glow in the back ground. The model athlete, was illuminated by a camera right beauty dish w/honeycomb grid, and a back-lit speed light for her hair, back and shoulders creating a half crescent rim light. The floor and net to the right were illuminated with a parabolic umbrella focused into a spreading spotlight effect. I had envisioned this shot for weeks on this project. Having it come to fruition.....but better then I could have ever dreamed was amazing. The student athlete nailed this shot to perfection with that attitude of "come get served" on this picture!
