After a long engagement, and many months of planning, Kenny and Veronica's wedding date had finally arrived! They had chosen a gorgeously scenic location in North Lake Tahoe, and with so much snow over the Winter season, the mountains were still beautiful and snow capped in the background.
The day began perfectly, as one by one, bridesmaids and groomsmen arrived to help the bride and groom get ready, and of course, help them stay calm.
The ladies helped Veronica into her beautiful gown that had been lovingly created and sewn by her grandmother as a wedding gift.
Once dressed, they helped themselves to a celebratory shot just before walking down the aisle-just to calm the nerves, of course!
The moment mom saw her baby girl all dressed and ready to marry the man of her life, there were worries of ruined makeup as both mom and Veronica tried to hold back tears...
And with a few minutes left, and such a gorgeous day outside, we had time for just a few more photos before the 'I do's'!
As stunning a bride as Veronica was, as we headed back from the lobby after taking photos in front of the beautiful backdrop, it was just like a scene from a movie! Veronica was stopped by the owner of an upscale jewelry shop at the hotel. The owner, while gasping at her beauty as she stopped her-offered to loan any piece of jewelry Veronica wanted to pick out to compliment her for the day! It was an offer that couldn't be refused! She settled on an elegant, yet simple necklace. Her look was complete!
Meanwhile, only a couple floors away-the guys were trimming up and getting ready too! Kenny was nervous to see his bride, and anticipated what it would be like as she walked down the aisle toward him. No shots for them though, as they were on best behavior-but definitely lots of laughs and grooming to perfection!
With the time for the ceremony quickly approaching, the bridal party took their places as they lined up ready to take the journey down the aisle. After greeting Kenny, they turned to face the steps that Veronica would emerge from as she made her grand entrance!
The music began, and guests grew quiet, while Kenny could barely contain himself. With tears streaming down his face, and his best man and officiant quietly and sporadically comforting him, it seemed as though the wait would never end for this excited, nervous, and emotional groom to finally be next to his bride.
After what must have seemed an eternity, Veronica had made her way down the aisle and was by his side. Her father was there to give her away to this man that would take care of her for the rest of her days.
They exchanged vows, rings and kisses before a happy crowd of family and friends. Just like that, after the long wait-the many years-the planning, hoping, and love that they had shared-the two became one, and were now husband and wife!
Of course, everyone was ecstatic! As Kenny and Veronica had made clear, all guests in attendance held a special place in their hearts and had a true reason for having been invited! That being said, family and friends could not wait to pose for a pic with the newlyweds!
And of course the bridal party was excited for their turn!
The fairy tale day continued, as the smiles were many, and the scene was breathtaking.
With only hours left of the whimsical event, the bride and groom were once again introduced to their audience as they arrived to dinner. The evening continued with heartfelt toasts, a competitive bouquet toss, plenty of laughter, drinks, dancing, and of course cake!
As enamored as they were with each other, and as perfect as they looked, we were so happy to spend the day with the newlyweds and definitely caught a few magical moments between them. They looked as if they were in their own world as they wrapped up in each others arms seemingly happier than ever to be married to one another!
Congratulations to such an amazing couple! The love and strength that these two show each other makes it obvious that their lives together will be a beautiful and successful adventure, and we wish them all the happiness their hearts can hold as they continue their story together!
