When we last spent time with Kristen and James in April, we couldn't wait for their wedding to arrive! So we are very excited to share this gorgeous wedding day at The Sterling Hotel in Sacramento with this amazing couple! The weather was perfect and the excitement was definitely in the air, as we approached the gorgeous bridal suite where Kristen was getting ready. Sounds of laughter filled the room as makeup was applied, dresses were put on, and glasses of champagne were clanked.
Surrounded by her mother Kathie, aunt Barbie, and the dearest of friends as her bridesmaids, the scene was perfect. Only to be made even more perfect with the inclusion of little Dani-Kristen's adorable Beagle, Papillon mix pup who would be by her side as one of her bridesmaids too!
As Kristen continued to get ready, she was treated to a surprise gift and beautiful letter from her soon to be husband-James. As she read the letter, you could see the anticipation building and the nerves creeping in just a bit more, as the day suddenly became even more real. This was her wedding day! The day a little girl dreams of! And it was here!
And speaking of James, let's check in with the guys as they are getting ready, shall we?
James was looking handsome and even managed to incorporate his favorite football team-the Dallas Cowboys-as he had cuff links and a tie clip to represent!
Looks like they were having too much fun!
But things quieted down and got a little bit more serious when it was time for James to receive the letter Kristen had written for him on their wedding day. Again, the moment became real, and it looks like James won't run after all!
Back in the bridal suite, the excitement was building as Kristen was getting closer to being ready for their first look. She was finally putting on the absolutely perfect dress that she had selected from David's Bridal, and after a few final touches, she became an absolute princess!
She was perfectly gorgeous on this day-her wedding day.
You could just feel her radiance and joy, as she so beautifully posed for a few final photos before going downstairs to catch a first look of the man she was about to marry...
Of course, we had to get a few with her girls too!
And let's not forget Dani-who I might add wasn't shy for the camera at all! As soon as she was dressed, she take her seat and posed in her adorable bridesmaid dress!
Many couples often go back and forth about whether to do a first look, or to just see each other for the first time as the bride walks down the aisle. There is really no wrong way to do it, but with this couple, and the intimacy they have between them, there was no question in their minds about how they wanted to do things! They wanted that first moment alone to really get the reactions and feelings from each other-which would give them that much more excitement just before the ceremony.
So, without further ado, let's go check out their first look...
We had told James that Kristen would be coming through the door, so imagine his surprise when we had him turn around, and there was his bride to be coming down the stairs instead. James let out a bit of a gasp when he saw her, and there may have been a tear or too. He was a perfect gentleman as he watched her approach, and he embraced Kristen as he whispered to her how beautiful she looked in that perfect moment.
Just as the whole day has been beautiful so far, the ceremony was no exception.
She was led down the aisle by her dad Keith, and the ceremony was witnessed by all of their beloved family and friends. James and Kristen recited their personally written vows, exchanged rings, and sealed their promise to each other with a kiss.
May we introduce to you, Mr. and Mrs. Richmond!!!
With all of the nerves behind them, the newlyweds were beaming with happiness over what had just occurred! They were finally husband and wife! And they (along with everybody else in attendance) were definitely ready to celebrate!
The ballroom was stunning, and filled with cute little details throughout to show off the time the two have spent together, as well as showing off their bright and playful sides as a couple.
The lighting added to the romantic vibe, and guests were obviously overjoyed to be in attendance.
The evening was filled with laughter during a well-played shoe game, tears and chuckles during heartfelt and sentimental speeches, and tons of giggles and conversation as family and friends dined, talked, and danced the night away.
We were so honored to be a part of this special couple's day. We absolutely fell in love with these two. The day was perfect, as it should have been for such a genuine and endearing couple of people. We couldn't be happier that along with Dani that day, they became a family, and we just know that they will live happily, ever, after.
Congratulations MR. and MRS. Richmond!
