"The love we feel at first sight is so life changing that we are able to remember and cherish it for the rest of our lives."-Anonymous
Falling in love at first sight is how Francisco and Paola describe the first time they saw each other. Francisco, already a traveler with the United States Military-was on a short vacation in Peru. One fateful evening, as he was out with some friends, he caught sight of Paola and was instantly taken with her. He admits to wanting to find out more about her, and definitely made it his priority.
The task proved to be a bit more difficult as they met face to face and discovered that Francisco spoke English, while Paola-being from Bolivia-spoke Spanish. But this love story was destined to be, and love at first sight doesn't just diminish. Determined-they exchanged information and within only one month, Francisco learned Spanish-fluently! With love, all things are possible!
They continued to talk and maintained a long distance relationship, all the while continuing to fall even more deeply in love. Nothing could stop these two from being together, and it paid off.
Today is their wedding day, and the two will be happily married, and finally have a home of their own, in the same country. Family came from near and far to celebrate the beautiful couple.
As Paola got ready, she was joined by her daughter, her mother and father, and extended family that was able to travel from Bolivia for the special day.
Francisco had just arrived, and family was eager to help with the finishing touches.
They didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, but they were so excited and wanted to at least say a few words to each other before the big moment. The two were all smiles as they held hands-but no peeking!
They had a simple and intimate ceremony before their closest family and friends. The Mothers were seated, Francisco's brother Daniel stood by his side as his best man, while his sister Skylee stood on Paola's side. His other sister Peyton accompanied Paola's daughter Valentina as they sprinkled flower petals down the aisle, making way for the gorgeous bride to be escorted down the aisle by her father.
Portions of the ceremony were said in English, while some were translated to Spanish as well. It was a beautiful blending of the families, but no matter what was said, love transcends all languages, and the emotion was felt by all during the entire ceremony.
Perhaps the sweetest moment was just after they shared their first kiss, and they took a minute to embrace in a warm hug. It was a sign of true care and sentiment-as they looked to be the only two people in the world; an indication of not just being husband and wife, but best friends as well-and a beautiful beginning to their grand adventure.
May we present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Lesher!
Just after the ceremony, Francisco shared a special moment with Valentina. Their family was now united, and he wanted to gift a special necklace to his adorable daughter-as he spoke sentimentally to her in Spanish-letting her know that he loved her and would be there for her throughout her life.
It was so easy to keep taking photos of these two as they giggled and adored each other just before sunset.
It was hard to pull ourselves away-with such genuine looks of love for each other-we could have taken pictures all night! But we had to allow them to get to their reception in time to celebrate with loved ones. And everybody was happy to celebrate!
The evening was spent sharing conversation, dining, and dancing. And of course all of the traditional fun was had as well-including a bouquet toss, garter throw and cake cutting.
Felicidades a Francisco y Paola Lesher! Que encuentras la felicidad eterna como marido y mujer!!!
