Gigi and Andreas were so excited to become a family of 7 on their wedding day, beginning a new family affection for the Lucky #7. Making the day even luckier, they were marrying on the anniversary of Andreas' parents 56th wedding anniversary! It doesn't get much better than that!
They planned for a simple, yet elegant evening. They shared a private ceremony-witnessed only by their children-as music was played by a guitarist and Gigi walked down the 'aisle' toward her groom.
They shared their vows, exchanged rings, and said their 'I do's'. After their first kiss, Andreas was all smiles as he so affectionately grabbed his bride and gave her the biggest hug! It was obvious that these two have been looking forward to this day for a very long time.
As we went outside to take photos, the family of 7 still managed to have a good time despite the cold temperatures and unrelentless wind at Dillon Beach, CA.
And a few more just before dinner...
They had a fabulous time together, and laughed and talked so comfortably altogether-this newly joined family. As the sun had disappeared, and the wind only became stronger, they went inside to enjoy a beautiful dinner personally catered by The Cook and The Drummer.
Toasts were given-one by Andre (Andreas' son) and one by Willow (Gigi's daughter) and the family shared smiles and even a few tears.
Following dinner, the cake was cut, and the couple shared their first dance together as husband and wife.
Everything was absolutely perfect. They planned their wedding day to be exactly as they wanted, with their dear loved ones. Gigi's only regret was that their parents were unable to be in attendance. With Andreas' in Germany, and having recently lost Gigi's mother only last September, knowing that they were at least able to get all of their children together in one place, meant everything.
Gigi shared with us her something old, borrowed, and blue-as she held her mothers embroidered handkerchief around her bouquet. Just feeling the emotion and love that was there with the family that day, perhaps all of their loved ones were present in their own way.
We are so pleased to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Gerstenberger. We wish your family luck and happiness for all of your days to come! May you celebrate your love and marriage every day, just as you did on this day...
