Nikki and Maurice were married before friends and family during an intimate, late afternoon, backyard wedding.
As we arrived, the ladies were adding final touches to makeup and hair, and Nikki was just about to slip on her elegantly beautiful gown that she had 'said yes' to at Second Summer Bride.
Nikki was absolutely stunning in her wedding dress as she posed for a few beautiful portraits just before her first look with Maurice.
With Maurice ready downstairs, it was time to get rid of some of the nerves and have a first look before going down the aisle. They were both nervous and excited with giggles to match! We definitely wanted to see Maurice's excitement, so we had to be sure he took those sunglasses off. No hiding that reaction!
Nikki and dad had a special moment just after, as he saw his baby girl for the first time on her wedding day! He looked so proud as they exchanged hugs and smiles just before escorting her down the aisle to be given away to her groom.
With all guests having arrived, it was time for the ceremony. It was a beautiful sight, and Maurice was all smiles, as everybody rose to their feet and Nikki walked down the aisle.
They exchanged rings that go on forever, and vows that will be followed for an eternity, as they slowly transformed to husband and wife with two simple words...'I do'...
Now time for the best part! They sealed the deal with a kiss!!!
And just before officially being pronounced husband and wife, there was a jumping of the broom to complete the ceremony. The broom was beautifully handcrafted by the mother of the groom, and matched perfectly with the colors they had chosen for their day!
With the sun about to set, and family preparing to be seated for dinner, the newlyweds had a few moments to themselves to take in their day and be alone.
With all of the formalities out of the way, Nikki and Maurice were ready for an evening of dinner, toasts, and dancing! We returned just in time to enjoy the delicious meal, followed by sentimental toasts that may have left a tear or two...
Truly, the day was perfect. For all the planning, waiting, worrying, and excitement, the day passed and the happy couple will have it to remember and cherish forever.
As they journey through their path called life, we wish them nothing but the very best! They will forever share a true bond, and 'What God has put together, let no man put asunder.'
Congratulations Nikki and Maurice!!!
