It would seem, that in life, sometimes, there are people who are just destined to meet and fall in love. Mark and Tiffany went to high school together, pretty much unaware of each other the entire time. Although they managed to graduate still unaware of each other, that would change years later when Mark happened to come by to hang out with his junior high pal Tim-who also happened to be Tiffany's roommate. The two suddenly became aware of each other, and eventually, Mark invited Tiffany on a date Valentine's Day, 2012. Having to work instead, Tiffany declined, but they managed to casually meet up later that night after all. A couple weeks later, they officially began dating on 3/3/12, while on a hike overlooking Lake Berryessa.
After several years of dating, Mark proposed at the UCD Arboretum as close to March 3rd as he could get it (it ended up being 03/2/17 because of scheduling conflicts), which brings us to a beautiful couple, on their wedding day, 03/03/18.
Surrounded by friends and family, Mark and Tiffany were married at their church in Davis, California. With the weather looking as if it was on the brink of rain, there were gorgeous clouds in the sky which only made things picture perfect for us during lovely bride and groom portraits. There were no worries for the guests though, as they were ushered inside for the ceremony and reception to begin!
Leading up to the ceremony, Tiffany seemed carefree and excited as she was preparing to see Mark to share an intimate first look before spending the day with guests. She put her simple yet elegant dress on, and received a couple last minute pieces of advice from mom just before going outside to see her groom to be.
Perhaps one of the most important guests in attendance, Mark's son Cyrus, was there to help his dad with his finishing touches just before his first look with Tiffany.
Without further ado, it was time for their first look...
They were so sweet with each other, and so pleased to be by each others side. We spent just a bit more time taking a few photos before the ceremony, but with no rings exchanged just yet, we weren't gonna let Mark sneak any kisses with his soon to be bride!
The ceremony was brief, yet filled with sentiment and care, as they heard readings from friends and family, encouragement and scripture from their minister, and shared in the lighting of a unity candle to symbolize the two becoming one.
It was adorable as Mark's sister Lisa and her husband Jake read "Us Two" by AA. Milne. The two took turns reading lines, while interjecting giggles and inflection, as Mark and Tiffany stood by listening and beaming at the selection.
During the ceremony, they also included a passing of the rings. The rings would be passed around the room to receive warm wishes from loved ones in attendance. As the piano played a sweet melody, the rings were kissed, prayed over, passed and squeezed, as you could actually feel all of the warm sentiments filling the room.
They lit the candle, and were pronounced husband and wife! Applause filled the room as the marriage was sealed with a kiss, and the two became one!
The day continued in celebration of the happy newlyweds! With plenty of legos onhand to occupy guests, delicious food catered by Buckhorn, and wonderful toasts filled with good advice and fun stories of the two, the evening was perfect.
Although everybody had something unique to say during the toasts, Mark's Grandmother Marilyn left few dry eyes as she read a personal poem she had specifically written for the two. She has carried this tradition for all of her grandchildren's weddings, and was proud to successfully be delivering another poem.
We made it through the whole day with no rain. So what could end this perfect night right? How about some smore's around a fire pit! Cyrus could not have been happier!
We are so happy that these two were meant to meet and finally did! Because of that, we got to meet them, and experience their fun, love, and happiness on their perfect wedding day. They shared their love and so many small nuances that make them the couple that they are. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they continue together as one! And just as AA Milne said it best of Pooh and Piglet:
"So wherever I am, there's always Pooh,
There's always Pooh and Me.
"What would I do?" I said to Pooh,
"If it wasn't for you," and Pooh said: "True,
It isn't much fun for One, but Two,
Can stick together, says Pooh, says he. "That's how it is," says Pooh.
And that's how Mr. and Mrs. Eschbach shall be...Congratulations!!!
