With a chill in the air, and a bit of sun shining through the clouds, Kylie and Mike were preparing for their wedding day. There was no longer any rain predicted for the day, and Kylie was all smiles as she was getting ready just hours before she would walk down the aisle to be united with Mike.
Her dress from Jaclyn's Bridal had an elegant and classic look, and Kylie was about to put it on just after she finished thanking her maid of honor and bridesmaids with their uniquely selected 'thank you' gifts-for all that they had done to help in the preparations and for being there along her side on that special day.
Mom, Laura was nearby and shared hugs and a few special pieces of advice with her daughter.
And then it was time to help Kylie get into that gorgeous dress!
It was just about time to head over for the ceremony, but just before, Kylie's dad, Gene, (as the ladies watched from nearby) took a moment to have a first look with his daughter-on her wedding day.
With excitement and nerves building, everybody was ready to escort Kylie to her groom at the nearby Clunie Center in Sacramento, and celebrate the two for the rest of the evening.
As we arrived, Mike and his crew had just been getting there as well. Mike looked awesome in his suit and may have been just a little bit nervous as well! ;)
But with all of his best men there by his side, he couldn't have seemed happier.
With Kylie just arriving, and friends and family being seated, it was time to begin the ceremony.
It was romantically lit, and a beautifully perfect setting for the pair. As they stood before their loved ones, Kylie and Mike looked into each others eyes and exchanged vows and rings, prayed, shared communion, and said their I do's.
And just like that-after having spent years together sharing love, secrets, conversations, and small moments all leading up to this moment-they were now man and wife!
Of course everybody wanted to celebrate with the newlyweds! More pictures, many congratulations, and an evening filled with dinner, pie, and dancing made everything complete.
During the toasts, family and friends shared beautiful stories of how loving and giving the two are. We learned that not only are they a blessing to each other, but to many of the people there as well. As Kylie is a Big Sister, and has also worked internationally serving others in need, and Mike was described as a caring friend who made a difference in the lives of others, it was obvious that these two will work hard to cherish each other and uphold the vows they made here on their wedding day.
Congratulations to Mike and Kylie! We wish you many years of happiness and love! May you live happily, ever, after...
